Vanessa + Joe had a beautiful wedding at The Armory Events this past October. It was the perfect Pennsylvania fall wedding day. With all of their day of celebrations at one location, we were able to spend lots of time exploring the Poconos at a nearby park taking in all the fall foliage and giving them lots of quality time together.
Getting Ready at The Armory
Vanessa + Joe were able to get ready on site at The Armory in separate suites. They both chose small wedding parties of just their closest family in order to keep the day intimate. Joe and his groomsmen even opened a bottle of bourbon that they specially made for this day.
First Looks
This wedding had three sneak peeks! Vanessa surprised all the most important men in her life with her final look. She did a first look with Henry her new step-son and the best man of the wedding first. This was so sweet, and she even read him a letter she wrote about how important he was to this day. Then, she did a first look with her dad and followed it up with the first look with Joe. Joe had such a sweet and emotional reaction, and the first look gave them so much more quality time together on their special day.
The Wedding Party
We took all the portraits for this Pennsylvania fall wedding at Brodhead Creek Park. Just five minutes away from the venue it made for the perfect location for the couples wedding party photos, family photos, and portraits. This park not only has beautiful trees for the backdrop, but also a lake and river that we used in the backdrop of the couples portraits. You can check out the park here.
Pennsylvania Fall Wedding Portraits
The weather was perfect for the couples portraits and we took our time walking around the park to get the perfect Pennsylvania Fall Wedding images. After their portrait session, we headed back to The Armory for a couple extra. portraits and some intimate time before the ceremony for the couple. Their final portraits were taken during golden hour when we snuck off across the street from The Armory for a quick 10 minute session.
The Ceremony at The Armory
The ceremony was so beautiful with personal vows read by Vanessa + Joe. they also had a bead pouring ceremony including their son Henry. The glass beads they combined will be made into a decorative piece for their home during a glass blowing class they will take as a family. They also had Henry hand them the rings, and join them for the walk back down the aisle as a family.
