The White Mountains of New Hampshire are the perfect location for an elopement! With over 800 miles of trails, there is plenty of hiking to explore and enjoy the beautiful views and nature. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely stroll or a challenging climb, the White Mountains have something for everyone! Plus, with plenty of nearby campgrounds, lodges, and cabins, you can make your elopement a special weekend getaway. The couple stayed at the beautiful Elks Lodge and loved the warmth and coziness the lodge provided. After the long hike, the couple took some time to focus on other activities they are passionate about, like good beer and great food!

That morning, the couple got ready together at the beautiful Moose Lodge by Bretton Woods. They were warmed up by the roaring fire as they wrote their vows into the personalized vow books they got for each other. After their vows were complete, they readied for the upcoming adventure that is their elopement. They laced up their hiking boot, put on their spikes, and dressed warmly. Once their car was packed with hand warmers, their wedding clothes, bouquets, and champagne for their mountaintop vows, they were off!

Hiking on Your Wedding Day

The couple chose a moderate hike that would be best suited in the winter for hiking boots and spikes to keep them safe and comfortable. We took plenty of stops along the way to capture some awesome nature photos and to give the couple a break from the hike and time to take in the beauty of their surroundings on their elopement day. Although we stopped along the way to enjoy the scenery, we hurried along as the real views and fun activities were saved for the peak of the mountain.

Once we reached the peak of the beautiful White Mountains, the couple unpacked their backpacks and got ready. The couple recited their very own vows to one another with the roaming mountains as their backdrop. The scenery made this moment even more emotional and memorable. After they shared the private moment of their vows, we popped some champagne to celebrate!

We then trekked back down the mountain with the newly eloped couple! Once down the mountain we changed and headed to the stunning Rek'-Lis Brewing Company where the couple enjoyed some downtime to reminisce about the adventurous day they just had. They indulged in a well-plated charcuterie board, cupcakes instead of a cake cutting, and a delicious meal with some craft beer. There was even live music playing in the restaurant for dinner!
